A point of difference and an aspect of sustainability.
That is what we look for when identifying talents to join our family.
Uniqueness comes in varied forms. We search everywhere for this special something – the story behind every product. It can be in how the materials are sourced, the manufacturing or development process, the workplace conditions or culture, the design aesthetics or functionality, the ethos and inspirations, and even in the experiences or emotions delivered. We have an open mind.
Being sustainable is a process. We partner with makers and designers who are at any point of the journey. We simply ask that they are willing to change their mindsets and methods. Particularly for talents at the start of this process, we incubate and nurture them towards green and ethical progress. We are all in this together.
Our commitment
WHAT IS CONSCIOUS FASHION?
To us, conscious manufacturing means three things; being (1) Eco-friendly, (2) Ethical, and (3) Transparent. Being sustainable is to intentionally minimize harm to human health and the environment, and to be open about the process. More than just limiting harm, Indiigo Culture wants fashion to leave a meaningful impact by supporting our family of talents and their communities. Hence, Indiigo Culture lives by our philosophy of putting people and the planet first.Â
HOW WE VERIFY HOW SUSTAINABLE OUR DESIGNERS & MAKERS ARE?
Most of our designers are emerging and independent makers who create the products themselves, or partner with small factories or artisans. First, we identify talents with a strong DNA and a point of difference; then we get to know each other better and find out more about where they are on their conscious journeys. Where possible, we do site-visits to their factories, studios, or workshops. Team Indiigo is enthusiastic and committed, despite being a small business, we do our very best to build mutual trust and respect with our makers.
